Offshore and submarine networks
Viohalco companies offer high quality, reliable solutions for submarine interconnections and offshore pipelines. The companies have extensive experience implementing demanding submarine and offshore projects, and the ability to directly load cables and pipes onto sea vessels from private ports.
The global need for submarine cables is rising due to
- The increasing number of offshore installations, petrochemical platforms and wind-power generators
- The need for power networking, due to energy market liberalisation
- High-speed data connection requirements
Anticipating the growing demand for submarine interconnections, in 2011 Viohalco acquired Fulgor S.A. through its subsidiary Hellenic Cables, in order to add submarine cables to its portfolio. Since then, an extensive investment plan has been implemented to upgrade Fulgor’s facilities for the production of high and extra high voltage submarine cables.
Cablel® Hellenic Cables Group is able to load cables onto vessels directly from its privately-owned port.
Cablel® Hellenic Cables Group, a pioneer in the field of cable manufacturing, delivers turnkey projects and provides its customers with high quality products and services.
