Brussels, 8 April 2024

Cenergy Holdings announces that Hellenic Cables, its cables segment, was awarded a contract by Amprion GmbH, one of Europe's leading transmission system operators (TSOs), for two 380 kV AC underground transmission systems in Germany for the projects Borgholzhausen (BHH, EnLAG16) and the Conneforde-Cloppenburg-Merzen (CCM, BBPIG6, Sections A and C).

Under the terms of the contract, Hellenic Cables will be responsible for the design and production of underground cables, procurement of accessories, cable laying, jointing, and terminating works, as well as site acceptance testing of the installed cable systems. Each project encompasses a 380 kV AC enameled copper cable, representing a substantial undertaking in the energy transmission sector.  Manufacturing operations will take place in Greece, commencing in 2026.

These projects underscore Hellenic Cables' commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the energy transmission industry.
